Care Instructions 

Each piece of Mémoires Art is custom-made, its size and colors have been previously discussed and approved by you, the client.

The Mémoires Art pieces are made of 100% raw cotton yarn, and their ties can be crafted in 100% natural Jute yarn, 100% Cotton thread or Nylon thread (or a combination of threads). Installation pieces, bar, and hardware are made of steel. Therefore, they require special care to keep them in their best condition. We recommend:

• Brushing the cotton threads with a fine-tooth comb or a small brush gently at least once every two months (make sure the brush is used exclusively for the piece).

• If you see a thread sticking out from the rest at the bottom of the tassels, carefully trim it to always keep your piece elegant.

• Use a piece of adhesive tape to make a ring with the sticky side facing outward, gently tap the ties to remove any lint you see on them.

• Clean the steel hardware and bar gently with a clean, dry cloth.​

Recommendations for hanging your piece

• Remove the piece from its box within a maximum period of 8 days of receiving it; cotton thread should not remain stored in humid places, as moisture damages the fiber's quality. Exposing the fiber to moisture and keeping it packed can cause the development of fungus on the cotton.

• Install the piece away from direct sunlight and exposure to rain and moisture.

• Align and brush the cotton threads with a fine-tooth comb or a small brush, passing it gently.
